First Engagement Session of 08

Well we got 2008 started of right with an engagement session last Saturday with Robyn and Chase. They are a beautiful couple and we love the images we got with them! We are so stoked to photograph their wedding. Engagement sessions let us get to know the couple and lets them get used to how we work to get the cool images we do. Much love, Joe

Forver Films-Wedding Cinematography

Copper and Logan-one of our past couples from the Savannah Double Wedding-formed this company out of a desire to bring a magical, visceral feeling to wedding videography. Much in the same vein of what we try to accomplish.

Technically speaking, it's not 'videography', it's cinematography. While the rest of the world is heading towards over the top digital production, Copper and Logan are kicking it old-school with 8mm and 16mm film-a dying artform for sure.

Check out some of their sample videos on their website-it is the height of drama and romance!

Best, Joseph

BODA Baby!

Ok, so its not very often that I get really excited about gear.

Last year I started using BODA camera bags. They were developed by my good buddy from Seattle, Jim Garner. I've gotta say, BODA is an incredible product.

It sits right on my hip and everything I need is RIGHT THERE. No more walking back and forth to a honking camera bag or roller case for me.

The best part? I don't even notice its there. After a wedding or two, I just instinctively reached for my lenses and everything.

But wait there's more!

Every product can be improved upon, and while I would've been perfectly content with BODA v1, Jim has just released BODA Dry.

Not only are the ergonomics improved, but you can dunk the thing in water with your gear in it.

My fave new features? The handle on the back is a nice touch. So is the improved hip strap with a swivel and cushion. It has a sturdier design that doesn't 'give' as much when you cram it full of gear.

Here's a pic.

Bridal Fair Thank You

We apologize in advance for the bags under our eyes on Sunday. The four of us were shooting into the night on Saturday and only caught a few hours of sleep before the big show on Sunday.

We talked to so many great people. Great brides-to-be and some really great grooms...especially since they were out on Superbowl Sunday. You girls have quality husbands in the making. It was great to meet some fellow photographers and vendors as well.

For those who we talked with at length, thank you so much for your kind words and we look forward to hearing from you soon!

For those who didn't make it out, here is our booth. Simple, cozy and bright.
