Some shots from Atlanta

The week before Vegas, Erica and I spent the weekend going to the touristy places in Atlanta that we've never been to before.

It was a lot of fun and-of course-my camera was in tow. Here's a few shots.

Back to Normal

All the laundry is done and I've finally caught up on sleep. Now the business of the business starts.

We've got a really busy summer coming up; and in the midst of it all, we're looking for studio space. Ideally we'd like tall ceilings, clean lines, wood floors and enough space for shooting rooms, a meeting room and a office for workstations. We'll see if we can find something that fits the bill.

I cannot wait to have a studio!

Also-we got our official print scores back from WPPI and, as it turns out, one more of our prints got an award of excellence. That's a total of 5! WOOHOO!

WPPI-The Aftermath

So starts the wind-down from WPPI.

Skip Cohen said it best : "This is when we spend several days wandering around the house in bath robes, not shaving and reading the same news paper over and over."

I honestly don't know what to do with myself right now.

This years' WPPI was fantastic-exhausting-but fantastic. We met so many cool photogs from all over the world. Even better-we caught up with all our old friends. We love you guys.

Some highlights? First off, my com-padre Jim Garner took home album of the year for multi shooter studio. Congrats buddy!

Of the handful of prints we entered into competition (thousands were entered) four received awards of excellence.

Me and Chuck Arlund worked the BigFolio booth together. They pretty much let us run the show, it was good fun.

The feature we had in Rangefinder was tops. It's definitely a pinnacle in our career. Thanks to Skip Cohen and Bill Hurter for putting together such a great organization.

Here's a few highlights.

PUBLISHED-Rangefinder

There are only a few times in your life that you can be completely and truly honored-this week has been one of those times.

Last fall, we went through an extensive process with Rangefinder Magazine (for non-photogs, it's the Rolling Stone of Photography magazines) for a spot about our studio.

Then we waited...I finally received my copy yesterday and we are so pumped, honored and humbled.

The article basically talks about how we set aside time to have fashionable portraits done for our clients and how we bring unbridled enthusiasm to our business.

I'm really proud of this one. Thanks to everyone for helping us a long over the years...it's been a crazy ride.

Picking my new Avatar

I recently cut a lot of hair off. Considering my current avatar makes me look like a sheep dog on a Sunday ride, I figured it was time for a change.

So, it's up to you guys...pick a new one for me. Voting starts now!

Thanks, Dallas

So the whole team is heading out tomorrow for Vegas. Can't wait.

We'll be updating a lot so check in with us and leave a comment.

For any of you that are going, stop by the BigFolio booth Monday and I'll be there helping the BF guys out.

Just look for the tall blonde one.
